If you set the program type to
Email instead of Default and build out your smart list and local assets as normal, you will be able to see a comprehensive dashboard of the email's performance over time.
It'll look something like this:

I've found this kind of report extremely helpful for announcement style promotional blasts, especially when compared against a sponsored 3rd party send.
