Hi all, is it possible to pull a blocked form field value into an alert?
Background info:
We have a partner program that allows external partners to submit leads to our internal sales team. To keep track of the externally submitted leads, we use the Partner Email field on the form submission.
So if Bob submits joe@abc.com as a lead, Joe's lead record has bob@xyz.com in his Partner Email field. This field is blocked from form updates in case another partner wants to submit the same lead - we only want to give credit to the original referrer. So if Rich submits joe@abc.com, he will not receive the credit for the submission and the partner email remains bob@xyz.com. Is there a way to pull Rich's email address into the alert, even though the form field value has been blocked from the record?
Thanks.
Hi Liliana,
You will have to use 2 fields :
The first one will be on the form and will be updatable every time the form is filled out. The second one will be blocked for update and populated by a smart campaign when the first one is populated. You will be able to use the first one in your alert every time, but the second one will give you the original partner.

I would seriously consider another tool or custom object if you plan to use this function more regularly. Marketo cannot handle Partner information well on its own and needs this to work well in the CRM or another tool.
