Progressive Profiling - Use Same Fields

Can you use the same fields you've used in the same for in progressive profiling? I have a contact us page of where I'd like to ask for additional information from a user, however, I'd still like them to check boxes of what type of inquiry they are requesting...

Sure, just don't put those fields in the progressive box.

I thought only the progressive profile fields appear when you enable it. But I guess not. Thanks
