Problems Delivering to Verizon and ATT.net

In our previous ESP, we were getting 99%+ deliverability. Currently we are hovering around 95% with the same data. Looking into the bounce results it appears we are getting blocked on ATT.net domains and Verizon. I submitted de-listing requests twice so far, and we are still getting blocked. Any additional tips on restoring deliverability to these two ISP?

Are you on a shared Marketo email server IP?  If so, your requests may have no effect if there is a frequent violator sharing that IP address.  You may need to request to be moved to a trusted email server IP or pay a bit more each year for your own dedicated IP.  Contact Marketo tech support about these options.

We are on our own dedicated IP.

Send a support ticket to marketo deliverability team and ask them for help.

You may want to also check that group of email addresses for spam traps and bounced/invalids. Make sure you remove them.

Do you use Marketo deliverability package which uses 250ok.com as the provider?

This will set you up with monitoring reports, Blacklist Monitor and Reputation Monitoring.

Re: Problems Delivering to Verizon and ATT.net

We have been having category 1 hard bounces with 9 of the 11 AT&T email domains as well for some weeks.  No problems with att.net and bellsouth.net for some reason.  Marketo has submitted de-listing requests at least a couple of times, but we keep getting added back to their blacklist.

Yesterday Marketo tech support indicated that other high volume email senders are also reporting an increase in category 1 hard bounces from AT&T domains in the last few weeks and they are working with AT&T to resolve the issue.

I submitted around 3.6K of our leads with AT&T email domains that were bouncing to Informatica to verify and it identified 32 that had valid email addresses, but were 'potentially dangerous'.  19 of these have not had activity in the last 90 days, so I am going to change their Marketing Suspended field value to 'true' to prevent them from being sent non-operational emails and see if that solves the problem.

Thanks for update Elliott. Ya we are getting blocked on all AT&T domains except att.net. Good to know we aren't the only ones going through this issue!
