Problem with sync lead to sfdc flow step

I set up my campaign so that if a lead fills out a specific form, the lead will be assigned to an owner in sfdc based on what state he/she is from:




However, for some reason anyone that fills out the form is being assigned to the owner using the default even though the lead filled out the state field in the form.

Does anyone understand why this is happening?

Are the State values always the abbreviation?

Is the State field on the Form=to the State field on the flow step you are showing? Sometimes systems have more than one often shown as "State (A)"

Check the Results log to see what happened.

Yeah, they are both "state". We don't have any other state options (i.e. State (A), etc). Do I need to change the flow step from "if state is ______" to "if state CONTAINS ____"?

When I looked at the results log, it said "assign to - use auto assignment rules". But I don't understand why it's choosing the default, if the lead met the criteria in the if rules...
