Prevent other marketing users from seeing lead data in campaigns

Hello,

I just wanted to see what if you guys can figure out a way so that the designers/writers cannot access the "Results" tab within the campaigns.  We specifically want to hide lead information such as name and email address from being accessed within campaigns in Marketing Activities. Ideally, we would like it if only Marketing Operations had access to that tab since it contains the lead's personal information.  Thanks in advance!

Hi Diana,

You will have to use specific roles for people that will prevent them from accessing the marketing activities.

You can use role based permissions to prevent them from seeing the entire Marketing Activities tab.  We are releasing better permissions later this year which might help in this case.

Thank you both!  Unfortunately, since they're working on assets we do need to have them work within Marketing Activities.  We just have a big marketing group so mgmt would like to keep lead data as private as possible. I'm really glad to hear that Marketo is making more permission levels though!

Hi Diana,

are you using workspaces and partitions ? This would enable you to divide your database in multiple parts and control which user would access which part of the data, for instance on a Business Unit or geographical basis.

Your designers should really work in Design Studio and then the marketer can clone the asset to the Program.

Workspaces may work as long as the WS points to an empty database. But this creates complications, so you might as well just keep designers in Design Studio.
