Has anyone else here done something similar? I can't seem to find the option to enable the relay access? In Salesforce I needed to enter a support ticket to have this enabled. We basically need to route all outbound email through an SMTP smarthost for compliance and deliverability reasons.

Contact your account rep and they'll set up a call to discuss this option. It's not something you can enable from the UI.
I was not aware that this was evenam option.....interesting.
