Need an "invite a friend" token

I need a token that will work like the add to calendar function, but for an email. Instead of clicking on the token and having a new, pre-populated appointment pop up in their email browser, I would like a new, pre-populated email to pop up with all the information of the event their attending so they can send the email to their friend.

I have looked at the forward to a friend link but it is not what I am looking for.

Thanks for any help/advice

Re: Need an "invite a friend" token

Hi Kenny - I have already looked at the forward to a friend token and unfortunately it doesn't work.

What I want is for someone who has registerd for a webinar, to receive a 'day before reminder' email for example, and there is a button to "Invite a Friend".

I realized if I use the forward to a friend token, they will be sent the day before reminder email, when really what they need is the invitation email with the link to the registration page.

I specifically want the "Invite a Friend" button on the reminder emails, so I'm feeling stuck in terms of my options. Any other suggestions?

Thanks

Re: Need an "invite a friend" token

You can do this. But it will take some work.
  1. create fields - Referrer Lead and Referrer Email (we'll use these later)
  2. form - Invite a Friend - this will create a new lead and tell us who is sending it
  3. email - set this so it comes from you, but includes the referring friend's email and name. link back to main webinar
  4. flow - you'll have to trigger this on Invite a Friend and send to the new lead.

Any other attribution details you should include on the various forms or links.

Jenna,

You could also use some custom HTML to accomplish this:
