Marketo not registering email opens when images aren't downloaded - workaround?

Hi everyone,

Does anyone have a good working around for tracking email opens when the images aren't downloaded?

Opens are unrealiable because the image dl can be turned off. There is no workaround other than to get them to Click on something in the email.
