Is there a way to add people on emails that are sent in Marketo without adding them to the leads database?

Not sure if this has been answered before, but I was unable to find it.

In the past, we have been able to add our Account Executives and Directors to the emails that are sent out so they can get a copy of the email in their inbox and they will also know when it has been deployed.

Is there a way to do this in Marketo without adding them to the leads database? And also without it just being a 'test' email?

Thanks!

Hey Lalida,

I'm of the opinion that your internal users should be in your lead database, because when you build a campaign, and they  want to test how the process works, it's much easier for them to have a lead for themselves in your database. For example, demonstrating to a sales rep how the Marketo Sales Insight tracking and dashboards work is really easy when they have a lead for themselves in the system that they can send emails to to test how the open and click tracking work.  Plus, with them in your database, it's pretty easy to send them your marketing communications when they go out (if you're concerned about them skewing your delivery/open/clickthrough data, send the internal message as a separate smart campaign).

You can always filter these leads out of your reports by coding them with an internal lead source or status, and it also opens up the possibility of using Marketo for internal marketing efforts. Think about all the times you send out some notice or campaign to your sales team, and wonder just how many of your sales reps actually looked at your email...

Just an idea!

You can use the "Send Alert" flow action.  You may add any email address that you'd like to the "To Other Emails" field.
