Is it possible to update an approved email with a new template?

I have a whole program of emails that I'd like to update with a new email template. Is it possible to change the template right in the email or would I have to copy/paste all the content? It doesn't seem like you can clone an email and then change the template too.

You can edit your template, and when you approve it, Marketo will automatically create new drafts on any emails using that template. Then, you can go to Design Studo > Emails and approve them all en masse.

Steve,

I'd test this briefly because in the past there were issues if the mktEditable sections did not line up in both Old and New Templates, you would lose your original email text. Be careful.

Thanks for the quick response guys. @Drew: I already have a new template that I want to use so I wouldn't be updating the current template those emails are using.

We recently moved over from HubSpot and they had a feature where you could simply change the email template you were using when you were editing the email. Does Marketo not have a simple function like that? Seems like a lot of work if a company has to go through something like rebranding.

Yeah, that's tougher then. Ideally you'd be able to update the existing template, but since you can't, you're probably forced to recreate all those emails using the new template.

Well, here's the thing. Yes, you can update the template.

I would be very careful if you make more than minor changes. All of your emails will go into draft mode. Then you should go to each draft and click Edit Draft.

if everything is ok, then try a Test or Preview.

If that works, THEN and only then, approve the email.

If it doesn't work then, you need to look:
