Is it possible to schedule an email send that is based on the time zone of the audience?

To clarify, I'd like to be able to have the emails send to all recipients at the same time for whichever time zone they're in. For example, at 9am the email is sent to leads in Pacific Standard Time, then an hour later at 9am to leads in Mountain Time, then an hour later to leads in Central time, etc. If the lead's time zone was unknown, then the send time would default to your local time zone.

I was able to do this with a different marketing automation platform in the past, and assumed Marketo would be capable of doing this. But so far, I have either been unable to figure out how to accomplish this or Marketo is just unable to do this. It seems that when I schedule a smart campaign, you pick a time and time zone and Marketo sends to all recipients at the same time.

If this is incorrect, I'd appreciate any feedback or suggestions.

Thanks,
Alan

I can't think of how to do that directly in Marketo, but one approach would be to segment the audience by time zone into separate lists/campaigns/whatever, and then set different campaigns to send the email according to the segment time zone.

We would like to do the same thing and keep it all in one flow! However we haven't figured out a way to do this yet either, we just set different campaigns for each time zone and segment them that way. Maybe you should put it in as an idea on the community.

The big purple "solved" stamp isn't really accurate, since Marketo is apparently unable to automate sending email to different time zones by recipient. But, segmenting the audience manually could work, it will just take a lot more effort. Thanks for the replies.
