How do you structure your Marketing Operations Teams?

We are restructuring our support organization and curious how folks support hand off and organization's are structured.  Today, we have two separate teams completing operations functions and a wide knowledge gap as we continue to support news folks and teams transitioning into Marketo / Marketing Automation.
