Get notified of Report Subscription Failures

Hello,

My team and I want to be notified when there is an alert that there has been a Report Subscription Failure.  When I try to subscribe to this type of notification only, it is not an option in the drop down of subscription values.  Are report subscription failures classified as under a specific notification type?  Can I subscribe to just Report Subscription Failure alerts?

Re: Get notified of Report Subscription Failures

Hello @BrendaDavis1982 ,

Having worked at Marketo in a previous life:

Report Subscription "failures" for the most part are not failures.  There are background process that fulfill those subscriptions; a daily process for applicable subscriptions.  They all need to execute by a certain time of the day (I forgot what the cutoff time is).  After that time they stop processing in the background for the day.

You could look at

  • Reducing any other processing campaigns that occur early in the morning and move them to much earlier in the day e.g. 12am ET or later in the day to give more resources to those background campaigns.
  • In some rare cases the complexity of the logic might be an issue, but 99% of the time it is a competition for resources.

Re: Get notified of Report Subscription Failures

I have seen Report Subscriptions fail, but that was not due to the sending of the subscription, but the report failed to load results. In that case, the report might be overloaded with complexity - or it warrants a support ticket.

But either way: Unfortunately, you can't get that notification.

Re: Get notified of Report Subscription Failures

Hi @BrendaDavis1982 in addition to @Michael_Florin and @Oz_Platero replies, you could also do an audit of your subscriptions.

Delete or stop any older unused ones, change to less frequent if possible - daily to weekly to monthly.

Check total number of active subscriptions you have as there is a limit to 100 within an instance - check all users subscriptions and see if any can be shared?
