File URL contains domain of foreign workspace

Hi,

I uploaded a PDF file within my Swedish workspace. If I look at the URL for this file it contains .de as domain:

http://info.zehnder-systems.de/rs/983-EIF-332/images/Z_SV_Surprising_benefits_gated_V1_sv_screen.pdf

info.zehnder-systems.de is the landing page CName we defined for Germany. For Sweden it should be info.zehnder.se.

Is this correct? Have we done anything wrong?

Hi Katrin,

This has nothing to do with workspaces, but with the multi-domain configuration of your instance.

The default URL for the file being in the .de domain, this means that .de is the default domain for your Marketo instance.

If the .se domain had also be enabled in your instance, you could access it using the http://info.zehnder-systems.se/rs/983-EIF-332/images/Z_SV_Surprising_benefits_gated_V1_sv_screen.pdf​ URL.  But this later URL does not work, meaning th .se domain has not been set up in your Marketo instance.

Setting up multiple domains is done using domain aliases in admin->landing pages. Read this Add Additional Landing Page CNAMEs - Marketo Docs - Product Docs

And finally, to have Marketo manage better multi-domains, inlcuding the possibility to link domains and workspaces vote here:

thanks for your answer! That is strange, cause I thought we set up multi-domains (see below):

However, as you mentioned, the URL with .se does not work. Do you have an idea what we did wrong? Maybe the IT department has not created the CNAME?

A quick test shows that the Cname does not exist:

Looks like even if it did, .se is pointing to the home page instead of to .de as the default CNAME?

no, the screen displays the backup page, which is wrong, but there is no real harm there.

I think Grégoire's answer is correct and It seems Katrin's CNAME is fine.

Germany info.zehnder-systems.de

Swedish info.zehnder.se

I can see http://info.zehnder.se/rs/983-EIF-332/images/Z_SV_Surprising_benefits_gated_V1_sv_screen.pdf

The difference is that the domain names are different:

In Dermany: info.zehnder-systems.de

in Sweden: info.zehnder.se

But infi.zehnder-systems.se does not work.
