At this point as the main Admin at my org, should I be uploading all Marketo Engage (non-API) user email addresses into the Admin Console that are not already there? Will this put our org in a good spot for the pending May migration? If not, what other actions can I take to prepare? I've referenced your timeline documentation - https://nation.marketo.com/t5/product-blogs/adobe-identity-management-system-ims-migration-guide-for... - but just hoping for some additional clarity.

Answer: First, if you would like to move up your migration contact Support and they can engage with out internal team to get you scheduled sooner. Since you have SSO set up, you should make sure that those users exist in your Identity Provider so that when we migrate users, our tool finds their email address to associate the Adobe identity to. Since you have SSO your migration will be a self-service migration, which an Marketo admin needs to complete. I have 8 instances in Marketo across my org, under three contracts. 5 are prod instances, 3 are sandboxes.

Three of the instances are now indicated to migrate on Mar 5, but when they delayed migration of one instance in December, I was told by Adobe team that all 8 would be moving at the same time. 

Now I can't get any answer on my case to try to help understand what is going on and why we're not moving everything, or even everything in the same contract at the same time. 

Can someone help??? My case ID is 02851700.

@AKeller we will alert Support that you are awaiting a response on your support case. We can align all the instances to migrate on March 5th if that is the desired date.

Appreciate it @Steph_Simmons whether March 5th or another date, I just need to know so that we can communicate to the right users accordingly. As it was already a start/stop in December when communication did not go to the team whose instance was queued up to move. So just trying to get clarity on exactly what is happening. Thank you!!!

Two questions:

 

1. If we have more than 75 users across instances, but less in an individual instance - will it be automated or not? Is the 75 threshold a multiple-instance total or a Marketo instance total?

 

2. Is there a rollback plan if an issue occurs during migration?

Hi @Myk_Alba1 ,

1. It is per instance. So if you have less than 75 users AND no SSO, it will be an automated user migration. If the instance is SSO enabled, it will be a self migration regardless of the number of users.

 

2. Each user's migration is processed individually. Users can continue logging in with their Marketo ID unless until they are successfully migrated to Adobe IMS. Migrated users MUST accept their invitation by clicking the link in the product entitlement email before signing in with Adobe ID for the first time.
