Event Check In App reversal

Happy Friday afternoon (EDT at least).  Don't all of these things happen on Friday afternoon?

We have some new staff members who went in an updated a Lead Status in Salesforce to mark a few Leads as attended for an event which doesn't happen until Tuesday.  On the Marketo Event Check In App they are marked as checked in, and the app has been synced, so we can't seem to reverse it.  According to the pdf document on Marketo for iPad check in you can reverse it before sync, but it doesn't give any direction on what to do if it has already been synced.  Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Hi Kristen,

To reverse it, you will need:

  1. to set the channel (admin -> tags) so that both member statuses have the same step value
  2. Go to Marketo (not in the app), in the program, access the "members" tab and change the status of these leads

Re: Event Check In App reversal

Actually, it might be much easier to

  • note the emails of the incorrect leads.
  • select them in the Members tab, and set to Not In program
  • Find those leads again with a smart list of Email Address=XYZ
  • Run Program Status = Registered for that Program.
  • Should re-sync to ipad correctly.

Greg is technically correct here, but going into change Status Steps is a bit risky and I would not normally mess with Admin things to change a status issue like this.

Re: Event Check In App reversal

HI Josh,

I agree that going through the "not in program" is safer than modifying the steps. But then no need to note them, just create a static list and add them to it. then set thm to not in program, then do to the list, select them all and add them back in the program with the proper stage (Registered).
