Email Template Technical Guidance

I'm having our agency design a group of branded email templates in Marketo and I want to provide basic technical guidance and requirments, i.e. hardcoding text area as an example. Does anyone have a short list of must-do's I can include in our brief?

Key Items:
-mktEditable DIV tag area designates an Editable Text
-footer info (are you using 1 address or variable addresses based on geography
-html colors and code that might get caught by spam systems

And your unsubscribe page URL, etc.

Embed social icons and shares into the template non editable areas.
