In the design studio I updated and approved an email template, however in the actual email the update did not occure.  Email has been approved there as well.  Any ideas as to why this may be?

I guess similar problem:

I updatetd our eMail Template with new Adress and Year at the bottom. 
I approved it. 
I can see the changes in the Template preview. 

I had to approve the eMails with the updated Template,
i did this but in the eMail template keeps the old version. 

should be a common process - is there a solution, I don't want to copy everthing on a new template.

The first thing that comes to mind here without any additinal details is to check that the part of the email template you updated was not within an editable area. After you've created an email from a template, changes to the template inside editable areas will not update emails built from it (this is by design).

Hi Darren,

So you re-approved the Email Template draft AND the email approved - with draft?

How many changes did you make to the template? Updating an email template sometimes doesn't work very well, but it's hard to say what happened without the code or screenshots.
