I know the answer is very simple, but I can't find it anywhere in docs or discussion.
I've created and approved an email. It's been tested and is ready to go.
I added a Send Email Step to my campaign flow. The email I created doesn't appear in the drop down.
I created it under Marketing Activities. It sits in a subfolder of a folder that contains all my local assets.

If yes, then you might try logging into Marketo using an incognito window. If it works in the incognito window, you probably need to clear your browser's cookies to fix the problem.
It's approved. Cleared the cookies.
Still not working. I've submitted a case to support.
Can you post a screenshot of your program/folders/assets as well as a screenshot of your smart campaign flow?
Unfortunately my company's security policies won't allow that.
Are you typing in the email asset letter by letter? I would double check spelling as well.
I don't suppose this email is part of an AB test in an email program? If it is, the email name changes to reflect that it's part of a test, and you'll want to type in the name of the program instead of the name of the email.
Lots of good suggestions in here, and your support case is probably the best way to get this resolved if it is indeed an issue with the UI -- but depending on your setup there's one other thing I'd check:
Are you using workspaces in your instance? If so, double-check the workspace the Email and Smart Campaign are in. If they differ, the email isn't going to be available to the smart campaign.
