Hi All,
I have a customer who is using one of the subdomain as email branded domain. There are no landing pages under this domain. Customer have concern that subdomain is going to 404 error page which i think will go because its not landing page sub domain. I have tested emails and it works fine.
My question is there any way to redirect this email branded subdomain to some https subdomain so that it dont go to 404.
Example: marketo.adobe.com is email branded subdomain. Can we direct http://marketo.adobe.com to https://marketo.adobe.com?
Thanks

Can we direct http://marketo.adobe.com to https://marketo.adobe.com?
That's kind of a weird example because they're the same hostname?

A branding (click tracking) domain wouldn't ever have LPs, it's a different endpoint.
Is your concern is that click.example.com (regardless of protocol) brings up a 404 — while click.example.com/actual-tracking-link-123456 works? That's expected behavior. There's no default page on a click tracking domain but also no one should ever be reaching the domain except by clicking a link.

Hi Sanford,
I explained the same that this expected behavior and there is no issue. But client says Marketo have actually implemented for one their client. So i just wanted to check if this is really possible technically?
Also if we send out test email and click on the links it works with with correct subdomain.
Well, it's technically possible (meaning: if an engineer felt like doing it/was authorized to do it) but not something we have any control over as admins, and I've never seen it in production.
I'm not convinced they aren't confusing this with the LP Fallback Page.
And again what would be the situation where someone would hit the hostname without a path? This sounds like a solution in search of a problem...
