A "Potential Duplicate Lead" alert was brought to my attention. When searching for the lead in Marketo, I saw it appeared six times in our database, it had a company of "google" and that the lead entered Marketo through filling out a "web form" that isn't a Marketo form. What could be an explanation for this lead appearing? And what would that extraneous "web form" be?
Thanks, all!
Can you show the ActLog details?
Here's the first part of it. The lead came in yesterday.
What's the "form that's not a Marketo form"? Surely IS - 03-07 Charlotte.Form is a form in the corresponding Program.
Right, but if the lead entered Marketo by filling out that form, wouldn't
it appear first on the activity log? That's why I feel like "web form" is
something independent of Marketo.

Nope, Web form fillout is the standard notation for any Marketo form. It's confusing because the Filled Out Form is assigned to a lead in retrospect, regardless of whether the form fillout was the thing that created the lead; that's why the New Person appears first.
