Patrick:

This might not be relevant to you anymore, but I've been going back a few pages and saw your quesiton. I'm not sure there's a way to target Outlook 2010 specifically, but you can target any Outlook at all with the conditional comment:

<[if mso]>

Hope that helps at least a little.

Re: Does anyone know how to target Outlook 2010 with conditional HTML?

I've been trying to use this kind of conditional targeting, and whether I add it to a template or to an email directly, marketo automatically updates the markup to <!--[if mso]--> which is obviously not what I want because it's commenting out the whole thing and making it essentially invisible.

Any work around for this that you know of?

Subscribing. Have a ticket filed with Support about this.

Unfortunately it appears that Marketo strips ALL comments when actually sending the email, making Outlook conditional statements impossible. Huge bummer. Very big defect in the product.
