Hi team, we are trying to understand marketo activities. We have a couple of observations which we'd like to discuss.
We are interested in observing the changes happening to a lead L that belongs to a program P.
There were no type 104(change_status_in_progression) activities recorded for L that had `acquired_by` value as `true`.
When viewing program P’s lead L in the marketo UI we could see that the value of `acquired_by` was `false`.
So can the `acquired_by` value of lead L in program P change without a type 104 activity being generated?
We have observed that we got a 104 type activity containing the ‘New Status’ as ‘Member’ today. We expected the `membership_date` to update to today’s date accordingly. On the contrary the value displayed in marketo UI contained a `membership_date` value which was 13 days older. Why is there an activity but no corresponding change in that lead’s membership_date? Are the activity information not indicative of the true value in the marketo instance?
There was indeed another activity recorded 13 days older which had the ‘New Status’ as ‘Member’. Looks like the marketo UI was displaying this activity’s date as the `membership_date` value of that lead. There were also no intermediate activities for this lead which changed the status from Member to something else before turning to back to Member again 13 days later.
Can this be explained?
When a lead is removed from a program, is it expected to generate a 104 type activity indicating the same? If true, we believe this did not occur for one of the leads and the only activity that we could see was a type 25 (remove_from_list) activity. Could there be a relation between lists and programs?
