Hi all,
Quick question: When you disable tracking for an email link, does Marketo still count the number of times that link is clicked for reporting purposes (like in the email performance report)? Or does it not count that at all?
I was hoping that disabling tracking for an email link would still count the number of times the link was clicked, but not associate that click back to a specific person/lead. But, after seeing the results on a recent email campaign, I'm thinking that's not the case.
Thanks in advance!

Disabling tracking means the click goes straight to the asset. Marketo cannot know about that click.
(Meaning that Marketo cannot track the click as a Clicked Email event. Obviously subsequent Visit Web Page events, if the asset is a page rather than a downloadable, could be tracked, but that's a different matter.)

Thanks for quick response.

Sanford Whiteman, the one link in my email has disabled tracking; however a healthy number of clicks are still tracked in a link performance report. Is the report an accurate representation of all clicks or possible just clicks from text only?
That would be from the text-only side if those still are wrapped in [[]] (and therefore bounce off the branding domain).
