Difference in Email Performance Report and Stats of campaign

Recently I checked Email Performance Report 12 hours after scheduling of a campaign. It was delivered to X no of persons. Then I checked the Stats Smart list in my campaigns for delivered people. There the no of people showing were 30 less than Email performance report. What could be the possible reason for difference in stats?
