I'm currently deleting leads in Marketo to reduce our database size, so we don't go over our contract limit. I've deleted over 1000 leads and yet the number on the database dashboard hasn't changed. I deleted these leads a few hours ago and have refreshed the dashboard multiple times.
Has anyone experienced this before and could this just be a visual error that takes time to update?
Hi @GregDowse Sometimes database size does not update in real time. Usually it can take up to 24 hours for deleted leads to reflect in the dashboard count, especially if you've deleted a large batch.
Thanks!!
@GregDowse, dashboard refresh could take some time; however, a better place to check would be the "All People" system smart list in the Database. This would be easier if you have a single workspace and partition; on the other hand, if you have multiple workspaces and partitions/ you'd have to check the "All People" SLs in all the WSes to ensure that you have included people from all the Workspaces. Ensure you don't double-count people if you have multiple workspaces mapped with a single partition.
Agreeing with @NiharikaGoyal and @Darshil_Shah1 here that timing plays a big part in the database update.
My prior company's instance would update overnight much of the time so if I deleted records at volume during the day, I wouldn't usually see a change in the database information until the next day.
The summary page is a lot less immediately satisfying in that sense but as noted, you can go to the All People/People tab to get a more current idea of the changes your updates are making to your database 😊
Hi @GregDowse - I trust your issue is resolved.
Just curious to know if it's showing correctly now?
Also, how much time it took to showcase the updated results in the dashboard?
Thanks!
