Change Landing Page URL

Could anyone tell me how to change a landing page URL? The default CNAME and domain is go.rwc.com/, but we manage multiple brands in our instance and I would like this particular page to have the branded domain go.sharkbite.com/.

Re: Change Landing Page URL

Hi Anna,

If you've already setup the additional domain within Marketo, you would just change the url from go.rwc to go.sharkbite and it will work.

If you haven't setup the additional domain yet, these links should help:

Multiple Domains (CNAMEs) in a Single Marketo Instance

Re: Change Landing Page URL

Thanks Mark! I do have the domains setup under new alias. I assume that's the correct place. I guess my question is how to change the highlighted go.rwc.com/ to go.sharkbite.com/?

All pages are available under all aliases. The primary domain will always be shown here but you can substitute any other in your browser.

Re: Change Landing Page URL

I have the same question and can't seem to find this answer anywhere - the last answer from @SanfordWhiteman looks like it references typing in a URL in the browser, vs the link one would include in an email CTA, for example.

We have two brands that we're supporting through Marketo and, to date, both used a single landing page CNAME - https://go.brand1.com/ (in two different workspaces). Our Marketing Technologist recently set up a second CNAME for the second brand and added it to the Marketo's Domain Alias section (Admin > Landing Pages > Rules) - https://go.brand2.com/.

However, when I try to set up a landing page in the second workspace, it's still showing https://go.brand1.com/landingpage and I can't see where to change it or set it up in that particular workspace. Is there an extra step we need to take? Is anything in this article for Email Branding Domains relevant/related?

I've always inherited instances and have never worked with multiple brands/workspaces before so this is a learning opportunity for me!

Many thanks as always!

Michelle

There’s no difference between these 2 cases.

You don’t really “change” it, you just build your links to it differently. As I said above, all pages are available under all aliases.

Re: Change Landing Page URL

@SanfordWhiteman,

To clarify - once a domain alias is created, it doesn't get automatically included in any new landing page we create for alternate brands, and we have to manually change that part of the URL in any CTA or embedded link into the new landing page at setup?

e.g. I create a landing page in Brand 2's workspace, which would automatically have the URL as https://brand1.com/[landingpage], which I add to the CTA/embed link in the email and manually update the URL to https://brand2.com/[landingpage]?

If that's correct, then I'll remember to do that each time we need to link to a Brand 2 landing page anywhere.

Many thanks 😊

Michelle

Right. A very good reason to use {{my.tokens}} so that everything automatically inherits a specific domain.

Re: Change Landing Page URL

Thanks for clarifying @SanfordWhiteman 😊

I'll set up a {{my.token}} for this scenario so that we have it available any time we use a landing page in our second brand (any subsequent brands in the future).

I wanted to make sure I understood the process and that I didn't continue to look for settings that aren't there 😋

Appreciate your time on this!
