Capping Contacts to 3 emails a day

We currently have a cap in place whereby customers cannot receive more than three marketing emails from us. Is there a way we can see who are not emailed because they have reached this cap?

Hello @MineshGo ,  you can set up a smart list to view a list of people who meet the communication limit criteria.

To filter for anyone who has been sent 3 emails today, you can pull in the filter "Was Sent Email". Add constraints for Date of Activity in time frame Today and Min. Number of Times: 3. This will display anyone who has been sent at least 3 emails on the day you are viewing the list. This could help you understand who may not qualify for any additional sends that day.

If you are looking back to see if someone did not qualify for a past email, you can use these same constraints, but change the Date of Activity criteria.

@MineshGo, in addition to what @Chrissy_Nemeth1 has proposed, you'd probably also want to add in a not was sent email filter for the emails you think they might have been sent.

Testing that they were sent three emails doesn't mean a 4th (or more) was attempted.

It raises a broader question.. THREE marketing emails in a day.  Surely that's madness!

One caveat with the feedback you already received. When any of the emails someone received was operational, you will find that they could still receive another marketing email, as operational emails do not count against the communication limits. Unfortunately that is not something you can filter out.

And I wholeheartedly agree with @Jo_Pitts1  on the point that three marketing emails per day seems huge.
