Cant tell if our unsubscribed list we uploaded is actually being exluded from our email campaign... is there a way to?

We pulled our list of unsubscribers from Constant Contact and uploaded them to Marketo (using “unsubscribe” on the CSV file when we uploaded) but now when we upload lead lists that may include people who have unsubscribed, we cannot tell if they are automatically being excluded. Is there any way to tell or confirm that we won’t, in fact, mail anyone who was uploaded as an “Unsubscribe?”

  • Pick a lead from a list you have uploaded that should be unsubscribed.
  • Go to lead database and search for that user.
  • Make sure that their lead record is registered as "unsubscribed"

The list should have been uploaded with your subscription fields.

Unsubscribed=TRUE is the setting Marketo would recognize.

Marketo will exclude anyone with Unsubscribed=TRUE from a smart campaign. So if you select a group of people to email, only a portion of them will be Unsubscribed, right? And only some of them might have come from Constant Contact.

You can see the blocked leads for the email by going to Schedule and looking at the list of Blocked. This also appears on the Email Send program dashboard.
