Can you abort a send as the campaign is executing?

We've launched a campaign, and some emails have been delivered. But not all emails have been. Can we cancel the campaign and have the outstanding emails NOT go out?

Thank you!!!

Go to the smart campaign and look at schedule tab.  Then click campaign actions and the red abort botton

I'll post a screen shot in a minute

The "abort" button is disabled! Should I assume that means it's too late?

Not positive, but most likely.  Sorry!

Luckily, it wasn't an issue. We just wanted to optimize the message with those who hadn't received. We figured it was a long shot!

Thank you for the quick response!

Typically yes it means it is too late.   You should be able to see the sent status of the campaign.  The abort feature can stop a campaign in progress.  However, It depends on the size of your campaign (if it is very large throttling is typically used to manage the send rate) and where you are in the Marketo campaign execution queue.   Once you abort a campaign -- you will receive an notification on how many emails were delivered vs. those that were not sent.

This may be too late to help, but for future reference Marketo Support once let me know that if you start a smart campaign and need to abort it, go to the Flow step and remove the email. It was prevent the email from going out to anyone who has not yet hit that flow step. It doesn't always get everyone, but it can help.
