Hi
I'd like to change a custom field in SF under the account object without waiting going through the whole internal approval process;)
Is it possible, I've checked and see that the "change data valu" option was only available for leads/contacts.
any thoughts, idea, workaround?;)
Thanks

Sorry I was referring to changing Account data within the Lead record within Marketo, my mistake Greg and Berangere, Account object updates have to be done in SFDC. If it's a simple update to Account info within Leads in Marketo then you can do it.
As long as you can see it in the Change Data Value dropdown, you should be able to update it via Marketo. If it does not allow you, then updates are being blocked in the Field Management section (Admin -> Field Management), search for field, double click, click Field Actions and select Block Field Updates to update how the field can be updated.
Hi Frank, Bonjour Berangere Gloaguen
This is not correct. You cannot change SFDC account fields from Marketo. The same field (e.g. company name) can be changed if it's a SFDC lead but not for an SFDC account.

That's what I thought since Marketo don't have access to account SF object;)
Thanks Greg for heads up:)!
Maybe this could be possible if you created a custom field on the Contact/Lead Object inside of Salesforce that the Account Object references.
Not entirely sure how that would work though as an Account could have many different Contacts and Leads so which one to reference for the field could be dicey. But if it could be done it would happen inside of Salesforce.
