can tokens be used in smart list criteria?

So I built a new program that we will be using as a template and I want to make it a one stop shop with the tokens.

In the program we have an email campaign, but because marketo currently does not offer paypal integration we use a different service for that form, and we want to send a confirmation when people get added to a specific sf campaign with specific status.

In a case like that where the smart list would be added to smart campaign can we use a token in the trigger campaign to specify the campaign or does that only work with the flow not smart lists?

Tokens cannot be used in Smart Lists.  Here's an idea to vote on as well as a discussion topic I started a few months ago:

Re: can tokens be used in smart list criteria?

Can you clarify this: "in a case like that where the smart list would be added to smart campaign can we use a token in the field to resolve the specific list or does that only work with the flo not smart lists?"

If the people are added to a Salesforce campaign with a specific status by the other service, wouldn't you just use the Added to SFDC Campaign trigger with a contraint of the specific status to send the confirmation?

The trigger is correct but I wanted to know if we could use a token to define the campaign name.

Re: can tokens be used in smart list criteria?

You want to use a token for the Campaign name selection? I believe you can use the {{campaign.name}}, {{campaign.id}} and {{campaign.description}} tokens there. I am not sure if you can use the token {{my.SalesForce Campaign}}. Here is an idea on the community that seemed like it is what you are asking about: https://community.marketo.com/MarketoIdeaDetail?id=08750000000HkBnAAK

Re: can tokens be used in smart list criteria?

I looked at the link and it is an idea that is similar, but it is over 2 years old with no updates. The other difference was that I wasn't suggesting it to be done, I was questioning if Marketo is anywhere near as powerful as it claims to be. More specifically my question is can it be done and does it work and if it does work how do you implement?

Hi Joe - was there one this past week?  Kimi sent out a save-the-date, but I never received a formal invite.  It also wasn't listed on Marketo's site.

Re: can tokens be used in smart list criteria?

We did have it this week on Wednesday. I noticed that it wasn't listed too, and will make sure it is next time. Cleveland deserves to be mentioned!

Also, I will double check to make sure you are on the invite list. We sent them out with 2 reminders so you should've recieved something.

We are scheduling the next one for October and are looking to host it at Fathom.
