can't email to my email address or any of my test emails on gmail, yahoo, outlook, hotmail...

Have been trying to test my trigger campaign but any of my Salesforce leads with my email address or any of my test leads with gmail, hotmail, yahoo email addresses, etc will skip the email step.  I created a brand new Outlook email today that has never been in our system and that behaved the same way.  I have resorted to using friends and family member corporate addresses and having them send me what they're receiving.  Not exactly efficient (or professional for that matter).

I have an open ticket with Marketo Support but have not heard back for 20 hours even with repeated requests for update.  

Has anyone else run into this?  Is there anywhere in Marketo I can update to ensure my test emails don't skip the email step in the flow?

I know this sounds simple, but have you confirmed that those email addresses are not unsubscribed and that your program schedule has a qualification rule of run the lead through the campaign flow every time?

Other than what Mary said, check:
  • did the lead qualify on the scheduled batch version of the campaign?
  • when you test triggers, the lead has to have some sort of change + meet the other criteria. Did your test leads meet that?
  • did you verify you have an email in Send Email?
  • What exactly are the smart list and flow steps?
  • in gmail you can do this to "create" new emails: josh+30339@gmail.com so you do not need your friends to help. You can also get a domain and send all the emails you want to it.
