Best way to share email campaign activity with Sales team

Hi everyone,

How do you share details of marketing emails open/clicks with your Sales Team? My sales team would like to be able to see within the CRM everyone who has opened or clicked on a specific email so that they can follow up with them. What's the best way of doing this? The only way I can think of to do this is export a list from Marketo, and import it into our CRM, but I'm hoping there's a more automated way.

We're using MS Dynamics, so if you have specific ideas on that, great, but all suggestions gratefully received!

You can create an email performance report and set up a subscription to determine who will receive the report and the cadence for which the report will be sent to the defined list.  I'm not sure how you would exlucde those who are not in your CRM, but the good news is that Marketo is currently working on a feature which will allow you to subscribe members to a smart list similarly to how you would subscribe them to a report.

The only way to integrate this into MS CRM is to deploy Marketo Sales Insight (where individual seats are required for anyone that wishes to access this info directly within CRM).

Dan - we have Sales Insight. How would a sales rep use it to pull a list of everyone who opened email X?

Tara and Dan both give great suggestons. You could also created Interesting Moments for these actions and then create a SFDC report based on these. SFDC will also allow you to create email subscriptions for their reports.

For certain campaigns, I create SFDC campaigns and change the lead's Member Status based on opens, clicks, etc.

@Adam, James isn't using SFDC - he's using MS Dynamics CRM - and some of the capabilities (both in Marketo and MSI) are a bit more limited than those that use SFDC. Even Marketo's own marketing materials that promote MSI for Dynamics lack some of the features that they say exists (although they finally incorported many of them in the Fall release). 

@James, to get that granular, I'm not sure you can do that with MSI for Dynamics (or even MSI for SFDC).  Love to hear from any MSI gurus who can further clarify.

Thanks for all the responses. Dan, I fear you are right about the limitations of MSI and Dynamics. I'd also love for some MSI gurus to weigh in!
