BANT Questions for Progressive Profiling

Hello lovely Community people!

We are going to start using Progressive Profiling on a form that we use when a website visitor is interested in signing up for personalized software demo.

As this is further down the funnel than much of our content (and we assume that the person filling out the form is likely to have filled out others on the website), we want to be sure we are asking additional questions on this form that relate to BANT (Budget, Authority, Need, Timing) and help to qualify the lead better for our sales team.

I can find plenty of templates online as to the questions being used, but wanted to see if any of you have good suggestions for the types of questions to ask.

Currently, this form has the following fields (there are a lot of fields but we require a lot of information for a personalized demo to ensure intent):

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Company
  • Title
  • Email
  • Phone
  • Country
  • Number of Employees

Any suggestions are welcome, and I thank you in advance

Michelle

Re: BANT Questions for Progressive Profiling

Which fields are progressive in this case?

Which fields would you expect to have already?

Is the CTA clear about what they will get and why?

Re: BANT Questions for Progressive Profiling

Hey Josh,

To answer your questions:

  • None are currently progressive - this form already exists on our website as is
  • Currently thinking that most or all of the fields should be there already and the BANT-based questions would be added as the progressive options
  • The CTA is Request a Demo so very clear as to what the recipient is getting and we also include some descriptive text to let them know that they are filling out a form to request a demo of one of our products (we have two), and to expect someone on our team to get back to them to schedule said demo
