Per a colleague of mine, our sales team would like to modify the way the Marketo Outlook plug-in logs activity.
Does anyone know how/if this can be done short of Marketo updating the tool?
"Our sellers leverage the add-in's Send and Track feature. Outbound e-mails sent using the Send and Track feature automatically create and associate an Activity in a contact's Activity History in Salesforce. In the Task Detail section of the Activity that's created is it possible to set the default values for Activity Type and Activity Sub-Type? For instance, I would like the Activity Type to automatically default to E-mail and the Activity Sub-Type to default to Outbound. Thanks."

Once that is triggered, you can add in the field updates to the workflow. We only have one, to change the Type to Email but you could also have sub type here.
We use a global workflow rule to update the logged activities to "Email" as type. You could probably add sub-type in there as well.

Also as an FYI, we are looking at a potential Yesware integration for our organization which seems to go above and beyond the MSI Outlook plugin with its capabilities.
I suggest review for others looking for good integration for sales teams!
