All actions in SFDC Activity History are being logged as "Calls"

I have noticed that any action logged by Marketo in SFDC's Activity History section on a lead is being recorded as a "Call" type.

In the action subject line it is specifying "Clicked Link in Email" or "Filled Out Form", but type for each is "Call"

It is important that we get this fixed because "Calls" are recorded as a follow-up by one of our sales reps.  However, it does not seem like Marketo has control over how the actions are logged - can anyone confirm that this needs to addressed on the SFDC-admin-side, or how they fixed it?

I assume these are the automated tasks in Admin > SFDC ?

You may have to force SFDC to assign a different type to those. I suspect that Call is the default value.

Thanks Josh, that's what I am thinking as well.  Probably need to create some new Activity History type values and create a SFDC workflow to update the type once logged.

Hi Nate,
You may need to create a new task type for the Marketo Sync user. This will be the one that Marketo triggers when using tasks in your smart campaign flow steps.
