Adding Programs to Exisitng Engagement Streams - When do they trigger?

I have an existing Stream triggered to go every Thursday 10am with the cadence setting, been running for a couple of months.

I added a new program yesterday Wednesday (I am in Australia) at around 8.00am to the stream.

The included program I thought would have triggered around 10am today Thursday.

While just doing some further work I noticed the included program actually triggered and sent an email on Wednesday at 9.05am.

It appears the program has not followed the stream cadence at all.

My question is when you add a program to an existing stream should it not be triggered only by the cadence of the stream?

Can you describe the Smart Campaign that you added to your nurture stream?

Does it have a trigger? (it shouldn't)

Does it have a recurring schedule of its own? (it shouldn't)

Hi Peter,

You cannot add a program to the stream with a trigger in it.  So I am not 100% sure what you are referring to....

Thanks, I had set a recurring schedule.

so what we do is not include a recurring schedule and it will just go off in line with the cadence set.

Yes, you don't have to activate the campaign itself, as the activation happens in the nurture stream.

Clarifying a fraction further, once leads qualify for the campaign the next time the cadence is set to run and the program is next in line the leads will trigger, I guess we need to push the program up to the top of the stream to ensure it is triggered first if leads have qualified.
