I'm getting very close to finally having an email preference center -- whch has brought up an issue. Right now, we have lead partitions set up for each of our business units. The preference center will have a new SFDC field to "opt in to Biz Unit 1 emails", "opt in to biz unit 2 emails", etc.
So, if a lead chooses to subscribe to emails from 3 of the 5 business units, what does the campaign look like? Presumabley, the lead belongs to one partition (but they could exist in other partitions). I have one campaign drafted that will "add to list" for each chosen business unit. Therefore, I'll have a "house list" of everyone who signs up for emails from that business unit.
Now, how do I add the lead to the other partitions -- without human intervention? I want Marketo to:
-
Check to see if the lead exists in the other partion. If yes, there's nothing to do. I can bounce any email campaign off of my house list and the emails will be sent.
-
If the lead doesn't exist, I want to add the lead to each of the newly chosen partitions. (If lead does not exist in Biz Unit 1, add to Biz Unit 1 lead partition, etc.).
Can I make that happen without manually uploading my house list on a regular basis?
