Marketing Operations Position Available for Marketing Automation Professional in NYC

Marketing Operations is a discipline within Global Marketing and Events that improves the organization’s efficiency and effectiveness. Reporting to the Head of Marketing Operations, the Marketing Operations Associate is critical to creating a foundation of excellence through the design of insight driven capabilities, implementation and facilitation of scalable business processes, instillation of best practices and metrics and through the use of technology.


Technology/Project Management and Reporting & Analytics:


• Manage the day-to-day operations of our marketing automation system, Marketo; monitor, test, enhance and improve system performance on an ongoing basis; assess and ensure quality of lead database


• Identify and ensure projects on the roadmap support business objectives


• Act as a project manager to oversee and manage functional and technical specifications, test plans and user acceptance tests for projects focused on automating or improving efficiency including


    o Leading meetings, preparing agendas and documenting meeting outcomes and next steps


    o Documenting “as is” and new data and project workflows


    o Independently identifying and analyzing risks/problems and recommend solutions


• Conduct assessment of existing marketing reports (lead management, KPI and ROI) and research, conceive and design new reports and dashboards to showcase marketing effectiveness


    o Socialize reporting with marketing, sales, management, etc., manage objections, and secure buy in, as     appropriate


• Experiment with new concepts, research new approaches and test new technologies (e.g. predictive analytics)


• Manage and support integrations between Marketo and other marketing systems including but not limited to SFDC, Cvent, and Sitecore


Vendor Management:


• Manage strategic relationships with technology vendors


• Proactively meet with vendors to share wish list and discuss product roadmap


• Review renewals, secure buy in and manage internal approvals


Support foundation of Marketing excellence/Training:


• Develop training materials and plan for on-boarding new and existing Marketo users


• Ensure marketing processes and best practices are well documented


• Formulate vision and strategy for addressing challenges and implementing scalable solutions


• Undergraduate degree in business (e.g., Finance, Economics) or Marketing required

• 5+ years of project management experience, including the large-scale rollout of applications to sales and marketing audiences; project management qualifications would be a plus as well as familiarity with project management lifecycle processes

• 5+ years of experience using marketing automation (Marketo) and/or event management (Cvent) tools in an internal or agency role preferably in the financial services industry

• Demonstrated ability to develop and rollout strategic programs with an emphasis on measurement

• Fundamental understanding of how marketing initiatives drive leads and impact sales

• Deep, working knowledge of processes related to event management, marketing automation, CRM, and content management platforms

• Strong process orientation, problem solving and troubleshooting skills

• Ability to manage projects and multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

• Exceptional communication skills with an ability to communicate business and technical concepts to stakeholders at all levels of the organization

• Must possess a consultative approach and easily develop rapport and trust with multiple individuals

• Collaborative and highly organized, detail and process oriented self–starter with the ability to influence across cross-functional areas
