Business Insurance has integrated Marketo technology into the DNA of our magazine’s website content structure to deliver a unique lead scoring methodology that is the basis for our basic lead generation offering called LEADS and also our semi-custom, sophisticated lead nurturing programs called LEADS+. These offers represent an emerging, yet already profitable business line. In addition, Business Insurance leverages our application of Marketo to support our internal marketing and circulation efforts. Job Responsibilities: Serve as the subject matter expert for the Business Insurance Marketo marketing automation
Manage budget for demand generation services related expenses and revenue.
Work with the sale team and customers on front-end campaign planning and back-end campaign reporting.
Provide Marketo training and support as necessary to Business Insurance and other Crain Communications employees
Build all campaign assets (including landing pages, email messages, forms, programming, and campaign execution) to support lead generation programs sold to advertising customers.
Build campaigns to develop audiences for Webinars and Events, including landing pages, email messages, forms, programming, and campaign execution.
Support marketing automation requirements for subscriber communication, audience development and advertising sales efforts.
Work with Crain IT staff to integrate databases for online users and paid print subscriptions.
Import data and lists obtained from various sources into the Marketo database and keep database updated.
Maintain expertise in Marketo and apply new features and capabilities to the workflow.
Maintain database health by managing unsubscribes, invalid and bounced emails.
Monitor daily and weekly reports to understand system health, identify potential errors, and promptly address any anomalies.
Serve as primary contact with company reseller and Marketo for technical support queries.
Maintain an understanding of industry trends and best practices with respect to marketing automation.
Support the sales team’s efforts to sell lead generation programs:
Interface with sales team to support the sale of demand generation services.
Maintain a master calendar of sold demand generation programs and sales prospects.
Attend customer meetings, trade shows, conference calls and participate in other prospecting efforts to build and grow.
Develop sales and marketing support materials for demand generation services, including PowerPoint decks, brochures, white papers, articles, email messages, conference presentations, and other marketing opportunities.
Support sales efforts to segment and identify audiences based on job title, company size, geography, industry, or functional criteria.
Job Requirements:
2+ years of experience designing and delivering lead generation programs using Marketo, preferably with a media company.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications
Strong project management, sales and marketing skills
Excellent interpersonal, verbal/phone and written skills
Ability to work as a team player and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
A truly creative mind possessing the ability to come up with innovative ideas and manage them to completion
