Specific link clicked constraint in Flow

Specific link clicked constraint in Flow

Hi All,

Marketo allows you to add a constraint for specific link clicked in Smart Lists, for example:

However, we can't replicate this in Flows. If I wanted to create a Smart Campaign where in the Smart List the logic was Click Link in Email (and a number of different links as per the image above) and on the Flow the logic was Send Email, with a number of choices, where Email Send will depend on the link clicked, I can't. Currently it looks like this:

You can only specify the email in which the link clicked was, but not the actual link.

For this reason, I can't create the logic highlighted above in only one Smart Campaign, I need to create multiple Smart Campaigns for each link.

It would be great if we could add a choice in the Flow based on specific links clicked.

Thanks!

But this would still mean (per standard Flow expectations) that they clicked the link at some point in the past, not necessarily in the event that fired the currently running trigger.

I think it would end up being more surprising (and the current functionality is already surprising to many users).

Sanford Whiteman are you saying that on smart lists, the current functionality is saying "Clicks link in Email A, link is specifically twitter.com" and if they clicked twitter.com in a previous email, not email A they would qualify for the smart list?

I understand your point about not being able to specify the link within the flow so it could be from email A or from email B sent 6 months ago. I'm more curious about what you mean that the current functionality is already surprising...

Christina, what many fail to realize is that when using choices in flow steps of a smart campaign, there is no direct connection/alignment to the specific triggers in the smart list.  Think of "choices" as querying the entire activity log of a lead record - and that's what will be used (rather than the specific activity that triggered the campaign) for evaluating the conditional choices.

This is one of the reasons why I created this idea a couple of years ago so that we can further refine the choices beyond just a single choice:

Yep, read Dan's post (and h/t to Dan for tipping me off to this years ago!).

We literally just ran into this today! I had to create two different smart campaigns (via request campaign flow) - and was so annoyed at this.

I was going to say, I believe this is the best work around we have available.
