Rearrange "Page Elements" while creating a landing page

Rearrange "Page Elements" while creating a landing page

Hi,

As we know that the alignment of the "page elements" matters in landing page.

It would be great if we have the option to rearrange the "page elements".

I have created a Responsive design. If I need to add new content (text box) in the middle the content will automatically move at the bottom while resizing the screen.

Thanks,
Ramesh

Hi Ramesh,

I agree that Marketo needs a lot more work around responsive page elements.

However, in the mean time I'd suggest that you check where you have "<?php echo $mContext['bodyElements']; ?>" as this is the area where the additional elements are added to the page. If you place this inside a relative DIV, all elements will be positioned inside of this DIV. You can then use a range of CSS and/or JavaScript techniques to remove the absolute positioning and style things correctly.

I hope that helps, but ultimately we need to wait on Marketo for more support around responsive design.

Thanks,
Brody

Brody, I think you're thinking about the template level.

What I think Ramesh is saying is simply on a landing page. I agree with Ramesh. It would be nice to be able to re-arrange the page elements, much like layers in photoshop, so we can position items easily.

One issue i ran was I had rich text page element and a image element. Since I placed the RT item prior to the image, it'll be the level below the image. this made it difficult to place the text over the image.

I think this would be fantastic!

I ran into an issue a while ago where I had a text element slightly overlapping a form element and couldn't fill in the form on the live page!!

Hi Justin,

This article provides instructions for relayering landing page elements: How do I change the layer order in a landing page?

I agree, though, that it would be helpful to be able to easily reoder the elements to reflect their positions.
