Previewing your landing page in different browsers within the landing page designer

One thing that becomes a struggle with landing pages is making sure they look good in IE, Firefox, and Chrome. 30% of our customer-base still uses IE8 as their default browser which causes problems for us because Marketo doesn't play well with IE8.

I use Firefox as my default web browser for building and using the Marketo application, but find I have to make adjustments multiple times and preview the landing page in 3 different browsers before pushing them live.

It would be great to have a preview option in the landing page designer that would allow you to view your landing pages in different browsers without having to open new browser windows to review your page.

One tip I've found about working with IE8 is to turn off the automatic form fill.  It inserts a line of Javascript above the meta tag that you can use to tell IE not to use compatibility mode:
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge" />

Add that to your template and turn off auto-fill and it will help.

yes, this would be useful, as I have to complete the browser dance for each of my new landing pages. By that I mean I have to open the landing page in multiple browsers and check they all work.

Then I start tweaking the html to get them to align - it always involves compromises, but I think Marketo should facilitate this by providing multiple browser preview.

This would probably mean charging customers for a half-baked integration with CrossBrowserTesting or comparable services -- and probably adding some "vigorish" on top of it.  I wouldn't want Marketo themselves to get into the business of browser emulation (or temporary VMs, which is the way professional services like CBT work).  Marketo doesn't have the specialized expertise that those other companies offer.

Ok, thanks for the tip I will give Cross Browser testing a try.
