Permanent URLs where discussions don't disappear?

While using the Marketo community, I often explore discussions pretty deeply and see users linking to other discussions that allegedly have the answer to the issue I'm exploring. However, I would say at least 25% of the time when I click on a link to a previous discussion, that discussion is simply missing (see here).

I can imagine some user error in links, but not at the rate I'm seeing it. This makes using the community an extremely frustrating experience. Does anyone have any insight into why this might be happening and how to fix it?

ha...so its either ironic or funny on your part that your link is broken.

Ha, although many of the links I've seen are broken when they shouldn't be, I did link to a broken one there on purpose to show the kind of page I was referring to.

Hi Richard,

I'm sorry you've had this issue and I'd love to help. I don't delete disucssions or ideas generally, so I'm not sure why this would be a recurring problem with that type of content. I see that your link is to an article thought, and there are some scenarios in which these links would be udpated. We try to do our best to make sure our articles are as up to date and relevant as possible, so that does require updating and deleting some, which would cause the link to give you the error message. I will look into a more user freindly solution as I can understand why that would be frustrating!
