Not update fields on certain forms

It would be nice to have the ability not to update certain fields with certain forms.
For example we are creating a quick form for our sales staff to use at a trade show booth to email ebrocheres.  We don't want the ip address tied to the email since the ip address will be the same (dynamic ip from WIFI card) at the both.

You could always NULL out the field with a mini campaign if you are leveraging other campaigns that actually tie into that field, on the other hand, could be nice to know that it was that as the capture point versus a NULL that doesn't give you anything, so you have unknown, your device, then customers.

In your case above, update the landing page to not auto-prefill the form from the browser's cookie.   In the landing page editor, select Landing Page Actions in the upper right, then Edit Form Settings.  Uncheck the Form Pre-fill checkbox.

This is a fairly new feature.

Actually the tradeshow scenario you described is possible to accomplish. We've used marketo forms as a lead retrieval system at shows in the past, but Kelly's suggestion simply disabling the prefill feature wasn't enough to work for us (at least at the time), as even without the form prefilled, it had the user's machine cookied, so it would simply change the field values on the same lead over and over. We got it to work quite beautifully, however, by actually stripping out the tracking functionality of the form, as well as disabling munchkin on that page.

Once you accomplish both those steps, you're left with a form that allows the same computer to repeatedly submit and each time a new lead is created (or matched to an existing record if the email is already in the database). Pretty handy for tradeshows. Below are the two resources you need:
