Insert token into Send Alert Flow Step "To Other Emails"

Insert token into Send Alert Flow Step "To Other Emails"

We often have a Marketing person in the "other emails" section of a Send Alert flow step, but when they're out of the office for an extended period, we have to manually change every single Alert campaign.

I'd rather have a My.token for "primary marketing contact email address" that I can insert into flow steps. Currently "To Other Emails" in the "Send Alert" flow step doesn't support tokens.

I would like to request that it does. VOTE FOR MY IDEA!

Thanks!

You can insert a my token in the "to other email" area of the flow step. It works.

Create a my token , copy the my token name and paste it in the "to other email" area.

+1 to Sanjana - this already exists. It's a little known functionality that you can use My tokens or lead tokens in the Send Alert flow step in the "to other email" text box.

Dan - Have you tried this and it is not working?

I would like this feature as well.  My experience has been the sales manager wants to be cced on the new request for demo and free trial alerts, but then the sales manager changes every 4 months.  So then I have to go in and update the list of "to other emails".

+1 to Sanjana and Veronica - this works already. Problem could be that after entering a token into the field, Marketo indicates an error by underlining it red. But it works nontheless.

Hi Sanjana, Veronica, and Michael,

I tested it with a lead token before posting this, and it unfortunately did not work. Have you confirmed it works in your instances?

Dan, you mean a my.token, don't you? And yes, I can confirm that. Otherwise I wouldn't have posted here. 😉

Hi Dan - is your smart campaign a batch or a triggered campaign? I believe this only works when the Send Alert flow step is triggered.

Hi,

It seems that you can use a Text Token, but it does not work with an Email Script Token

What I would do here instead of creating my tokens, just create either a google group email address or an email  distribution group in outlook.  Add as members the people who need to be cc'ed in that group and then you just have the one email address as the cc in the alert flow steps.

The groups are easy to manage, you can add/remove people as you please.
