Clone Tokens between Programs/Folders

Clone Tokens between Programs/Folders

I would love to see the ability to clone tokens between programs. In trying to keep my instance organized, it doesn't make sense for every program to go in one folder, however, I need the tokens that exist there. Since I can't clone a folder, it would be great to at least be able to clone the tokens therewithin.

Can you use Global Tokens at the folder level and then override them at the Program level? That should at least cut down on the work required.

I like this idea a lot. I use a ton of tokens in my programs over and over, and really the best way I've found to duplicate them is to just clone the entire programs, which has it's own set of challenges. I like Drew's idea as an interim solution, but I'd love to see program tokens treated as cloneable objects in the future. Just makes sense from an efficiency and organizational perspective.

Drew,

That would be great.  Just so I'm clear on what you're saying -- define the tokens that need to be completed at the highest folder level (e.g., folder "nurture campaigns" may have multiple programs contained within it) and then have the folders/programs contained within it have different values for the tokens?  I tried that and unfortunately that doesn't work. If you change the token value at the program level, it changes it for all.

This would help immensly!

I'm not sure about folders within folders, but if you have programs underneath a folder, you should be able to define tokens at the folder level and change them at the individual program level without it affecting all programs.
