Cap Registrations for Events

Cap Registrations for Events

There are many events in which having an unlimited amount of attendees could be a huge logistical problem. I'd love a way to cap the amount of attendees and automatically switch the landing page to a closed registration when registrations have hit its cap. Basically - "If list count = X, then show X landing page"

This was also discussed in this thead:

This is a must for my organization as well. When we first realized this limitation my managers were very frustrated with me as they then had to call prospects and tell them we could not accomodate them 😞

Pretty please Marketo.

If we would have known Marketo did not have this implemented, we would have thought about an alterbative marketing automation solution.

Hopefully Marketo will address this soon.

What's the status on this idea? Currently I have to keep an eye on the number (hope that it doesn't cap out on the weekend or while on vacation) and then go in and approve a draft "reg closed" page.

I created a Betaprogram that have a Counter.

+you can regitrate guest up to 6 pr Regitrate.

We use and small program hosted another place. And webhook to communicate.

The solution is still in Beta. and need some Speed optimization.

I can give and update when the program is more ready for Launch.

This is extremely important. There should definitely be a capacity limit and an auto direct to a waitlist form.

Why was 'Neet Future Timeframe Constraint' merged with this idea? I don't feel like an upvote here really translates to support for added 'in future' filtering.

We too have a regular (not at all occasional)  need for this capabilty.

In a marketing world where "more is more," we often have the requirement to recognize when an exclusive or limited-capacity top tier event is both reaching and AT capacity - and from there generate alternative marketing/sales/client care actions as a result.

This impacts not just logistics for us but client and prospect perception, care and conversion.

We, by our segment, are expected to do better.

And we hope Marketo can as quickly recognize the importance and value of a seat at max attendance as they can at helping us get to more better faster.

This is important to my company as well.  Some of our events have a limited number of spots (dinners, golf tournaments) or tickets (concerts, ballgames), and we need a way to cut off registrations without manually monitoring.

This is important, and a date should be included as well.  I have people registering for a webinar that was last week.  If we hit 100 users OR X-date, the reg should close.

Our company recently solved this problem for one of our clients for an after party networking event using a webhook and tricky campaign logic.

You can check out how we did it here: http://hooshmarketing.com.au/blog/event-marketing/four-tips-to-building-a-limited-capacity-event-in-marketo/
